“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me he can do nothing.
Some years ago I went to a farm and picked strawberries, that was on a Friday; by Monday they didn’t look so healthy anymore. AND TA-DA, in enters Father God: The parable of the vine and its branches.
While the strawberries were attached to the strawberry vine, they were full of life and vibrant in color, like little rubies. But once detached from the strawberry vine they started to wither away and go bad. So, it is with us and God. If we stay attached to Him we have life, but if we break off from His vine, we die. It’s just that simple!
With one apple Adam broke off the human branch from God, and with His life, and subsequent death and resurrection, Jesus reattached the human branch back onto God.
Dear God, thank you so much for sending Jesus to die for me that by His sacrifice I am now attached back to You and have live brand new. Amen
